Global Support Team (Rikolto)

Rikolto is an international network organisation with over 40 years’ experience partnering with farmer organisations and food chain stakeholders across Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Our global team of over 200 employees operates in 5 offices worldwide, working under three programmes: Sustainable Rice, Sustainable Cocoa & Coffee, and Good Food for Cities in 18 countries.

Rikolto’s Global Support Team provides key advisory roles and shared services, including finance, monitoring & evaluation, people & organisation, ICT, communication, and fundraising. We are now seeking a Management Intern to support a project on staff workload management, providing practical learning while contributing to organisational improvement.

Purpose of the Post

To support the development of a Guideline on Workload Management for Rikolto, including gathering data, developing content, consulting colleagues, and designing a simple tool for implementation and monitoring.

Reports to: Global Operations Director

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

Contract Type: Professional Internship, Full-time

Duration: 3 months (October – December 2025)

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and organise information from staff satisfaction surveys, structure assessments, and management discussions.
  • Develop content for the Workload Management Guideline, including concrete examples of challenges and solutions.
  • Consult relevant colleagues to fill gaps in information.
  • Develop a simple tool to implement and monitor workload reduction progress.
  • Contribute to analysis and reporting, supporting management decision-making.

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Recently completed a degree in HR Management, Management, Economics, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365; knowledge of Canva is a plus.
  • Analytical, solution-focused, and able to translate complex matters into clear, actionable guidelines.

Attitude:

  • Curious, proactive, autonomous, and a quick learner.
