Job Summary
The Relationship Officer – Personal loans will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of the salary loans products. This includes employer engagement, loan application processing, credit appraisal, documentation, disbursement, and repayment monitoring. The officer will ensure efficient delivery, customer satisfaction

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Sales & Employer Engagement
- Identify and onboard employers for salary loan MOUs.
- Liaise with HR/Finance managers of partner institutions to coordinate payroll deductions.
- Conduct staff sensitisation and financial literacy sessions at partner organisations.
2. Loan Processing & Appraisal
- Receive and verify loan applications, ensuring all required documents are submitted.
- Conduct quick salary-based credit appraisals in line with company policy.
- Recommend loans for approval and prepare appraisal reports.
- Ensure loan limits do not exceed 40% of the employee’s net salary.
3. Documentation & Compliance
- Collect and file all required documents: application form, pay slips, salary assignment, guarantor forms, etc.
- Ensure all loans meet internal policies and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each loan file.
4. Disbursement & Repayment Management
- Facilitate timely loan disbursements to approved applicants.
- Track employer check-offs and repayment schedules.
- Follow up on delayed or missed deductions with employers and clients.
5. Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Provide excellent customer support to employees taking Relationship Officer.
- Handle queries, complaints, and ensure smooth product experience.
- Promote cross-selling of savings and investment products to salary clients.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Finance, Business, Banking, or related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in microfinance, banking, or lending.
- Knowledge of salary-based lending and employer engagement is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, sales, and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical and credit appraisal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and loan management systems.
