JOB DETAILS:
The IT Officer will support Mirage Tiles Limited by ensuring the smooth and secure operation of IT systems and infrastructure. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the IT Officer will oversee IT hardware, software, and network functionality, while providing technical support and training for the team. This role involves maintaining compliance with Mirage guidelines, improving IT service delivery, and supporting the company's objectives.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level IT support to staff (hardware, software, and network issues).
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Assist in managing and troubleshooting network connectivity and Internet issues.
- Support in the installation, updating, and patching of software applications.
- Monitor and maintain IT inventory (hardware and software).
- Assist with data backup, recovery, and basic cybersecurity practices.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when necessary.
- Maintain proper documentation of IT issues, assets, and resolutions.
- Provide basic user training on IT tools and systems.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies Requirements:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (a degree is an added advantage).
- Knowledge of complete hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting.
- Emiliarity with networking (LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, routers, switches, firewalls).
- Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Ability to provide end-user technical support.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 / Email setup.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience (internship/industrial training acceptable for fresh graduates).
