On behalf of our client, we are urgently seeking a results-oriented Business Development Lead to drive growth, expand the company’s market reach, and secure inclusion on the panels of all insurance companies offering optical medical cover—including private insurers with in-house medical schemes and parastatal organizations in the Ugandan market.

This pivotal role will require proactive outreach, strategic relationship building, and targeted brand promotion to strengthen the institution’s presence and unlock new business opportunities within Uganda’s insurance and corporate sectors.

Qualification & Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the healthcare sector
  • Strong knowledge of Uganda’s insurance landscape, especially medical/optical coverage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-driven with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Secure and maintain company’s inclusion on panels of ALL insurance providers offering
  • optical coverage, including private insurers and parastatal companies.
  • Develop and execute outreach programs to promote the Company’s brand across Uganda.
  • Build strong relationships with insurance companies, private corporations, and parastatals to expand business
  • opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure timely payments from insurance and corporate clients.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and updates for senior management on business development progress.
