Technical Advisor – Uganda

Location: Kampala, Uganda | Type: Full-Time

Droplex Industrial empowers manufacturing plants in Africa to thrive by providing speciality lubrication, fluid transfer, and detection solutions backed by expert technical support.

We’re seeking a Technical Advisor to drive business growth, deliver technical solutions, and support customers in Uganda. This role combines sales, technical advisory, and customer relationship management across industries such as food & beverage, cement, steel, plastics, and pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits to assess customer needs, troubleshoot issues, and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customer teams to ensure satisfaction and success.
  • Deliver training sessions to customer staff on product usage, maintenance, and best practices.
  • Support installations, commissioning, and complex product workshops with technical teams.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities during customer engagements.
  • Manage the full sales process from lead generation to closing orders.
  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records in our CRM with timely follow-ups.
  • Assist in preparing customised technical proposals and presentations.
  • Participate in ongoing technical and sales training to expand product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with Senior Technical Advisors to gain exposure to high-value accounts.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering (preferred).
  • 2–3 years in technical sales, industrial maintenance, or field engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of lubrication, fluid handling, or detection systems is an added advantage (training is provided).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in the field.
