JOB DETAILS:

Primary function:

Assist the Production Department line manager in managing Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction for the oil field production.

Responsibilities:

• • Follow the related requirements from both CNOOC Uganda Limited and the Uganda Government to manage the Department's works of Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction.
  • Responsible for Department works of Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction.
  • Assist and advise the Operations Department manager on the production issues related to Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction.
  • Prepare the Annual Energy Conservation & Emission Reduction execution Plan for the Production Department.
  • Prepare the Energy Conservation & Emission Reduction analysis report with intervals of quarterly and annually.
  • Arrange Energy Conservation & Emission Reduction Internal Training (inside Department)
  • Organize the Energy Conservation & Emission Reduction Inspection/Audit/Monitoring for Department.
  • Use onsite investigation to provide constructive plan, advice, suggestions related to Energy Conservation & GHG Emission Reduction.
  • Attend the related meetings arranged by CNOOC Uganda Limited and prepare related presentations.
  • Prepare the Emergency plan and organize the related drill for GHG Emission
  • Organize the onsite investigation and report in case of GHG Emission incident/Accident
  • Perform other jobs assigned by the Operation Department Management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related major in Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction.
• At least 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including 5 years’ experience working in the Oil & Gas field on-site production, at least 2 years of experience as an engineer or equivalent.

Knowledge:

• Extensive knowledge of Energy Conservation & Emission Reduction policy of the Local Government and CNOOC International requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of the Measurement, Calculation, and Unit Conversion related to Energy Conservation & Emission Reduction.
• Understanding of the oil field operation and production process, and well understanding of the characteristics of the oil industry energy conservation and emission reduction.
