JOB DETAILS:
The position is responsible for supporting the Chief Executive Officer in conducting research, monitoring study sites for clinical trials, writing grants proposals, running and maintaining the effectiveness of office operations to uphold ethical guidelines and ensure the successful completion of critical tasks within the organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Executive Management:
- Assist the CEO with research focused tasks, including research analysis, grant and proposal writing, project coordination, communication and documentation, and office coordination including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing necessary documents.
Research and Analysis:
- Conduct research on current trends and developments in biological sciences, particularly related to vaccine and stem cell production.
- Compile and present findings to aid strategic decision-making.
Grant and Proposal Writing:
- Collaborate with the funding team to identify grant opportunities and assist in writing compelling grant proposals.
- Help draft and edit various written materials, ensuring clarity and precision.
Project Coordination:
- Manage and coordinate specific projects as directed by the CEO, ensuring timely completion and effective communication among stakeholders.
- Multitask across various ongoing projects, maintaining careful attention to detail.
Communication and Documentation:
- Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate project goals and outcomes.
Learning and Development:
- Stay abreast of advancements in biological sciences, particularly those related to vaccines and stem cells.
- Attend professional development opportunities and apply new knowledge to enhance VAI’s objectives.
Office Coordination:
- Maintain efficient office operations by organizing and managing office files, and handling communications with external partners.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s (Hon) degree in a related field, such as biology, chemistry, or pharmacy is required.
- Master’s degree in a similar field of study is a must.
- At least five (5) years of experience in research, preferably in a pharmaceutical, medical, or related field.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques relevant to the specific research area (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry) is crucial.
