JOB DETAILS:

The Driller will be responsible for operating the drilling rig’s controls and coordinating all drilling activities during a shift. He/she will supervise the rig crew, ensure safety procedures are
followed, and maintain optimal drilling performance according to the drilling program.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate drilling equipment to control pressure, direction, and depth of drilling.
• Supervise rig floor crew (Floorman, Derrickman, Roustabouts) during drilling operations.
• Monitor drilling parameters (e.g., weight on bit, RPM, mud returns) and adjust as needed.
• Interpret the drilling plan and ensure compliance with client and company specifications.
• Respond to and manage well control situations and equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain clear communication with Toolpusher, company man, and third-party service providers.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of drilling equipment.
• Record and report daily drilling activities, incidents, and equipment performance.
• Ensure that all operations are performed in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
• Participate in safety drills and implement emergency procedures when required.

Qualifications and Experience:
• At least 3 years of drilling experience in a similar position.
• Strong knowledge of well control procedures and rig operations.
• Familiarity with top drive systems, mud systems, and blowout preventers (BOP).
• Proven leadership and crew management skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick, sound decisions.
