1. Description of the organizations and its activities
Malteser International is the worldwide humanitarian relief service of the Sovereign Order of Malta and legally a division of Malteser Hiltödienst e. V. based in Cologne, Germany. Malteser International is a charitable organization recognized as a relief organization according to the Geneva Convention. Malteser International works in about 35 project countries in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe for people in need, regardless of their religion, origin or political affiliation. Its mission is to improve the health and well-being of suffering and displaced people around the world. We provide emergency and disaster relief in the immediate aftermath of acute disasters and work towards the rehabilitation and reconstruction of afflicted communities. We work on the frontlines to provide immediate and long-term relief to those who need it most. We deploy our experts in crisis situations, conflict-ridden areas, during natural disasters and epidemics around the world. We intervene to provide medical and mental health support, clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), food, protection, and shelter where possible. We take a holistic approach to health in our programming, which includes the protection of nature. We work with local resources and engage local partners, as well as the Order of Malta’s global network, to provide rapid and effective responses in even the most remote locations. People are at the center of our assistance. Malteser International is present in Uganda since 1996.

2. Objective of the Call for Tender
In accordance with the overall targets of the above-mentioned operations, Malteser International would like to acquire the services of a consultant.

  • The deadline for the submission of the offer is July 9th, 2025.
  • If you do not hear from us via email request within 2 days, your representative should come and pick up the bidding documents from our office in Ebunga, M. Narajala road OR contact us on +256 (0) 393 265644.
  • Without quoting the reference number in the subject line of your email request for the bidding document(s), Malteser reserves the right not to send you the bidding document(s).
  • Malteser International also reserves the right to reject and cancel the order in case any illegal or corrupt practices have been connected with the award or execution of the contract.
  • Malteser International reserves the right to take any possible legal action or blacklist the service provider/ contractor/supplier who engages in any form of forgery of our documents or signatures for ulterior motives.
  • Disclaimer: Mi is under no obligation to award the lowest or highest or any bidder at all and may cancel the whole/ part process when it deems fit without giving further justification.

Malteser International reserves the right to cancel this exercise in case of limited funding or the lack of it to execute the procurement.
