Job Title:  Online Radio Intern (2 No Experience Fresh Graduate Jobs)

Organisation: Raising Gabdho Foundation (RGF)

Duty Station: Remote / Kampala (Hybrid if needed)

Duration: 3 months (voluntary placement)

Start Date: until filled

Reporting to: Team Lead

Stipend: Unpaid, with a small contribution towards meals

About Raising Gabdho Foundation (RGF): Raising Gabdho Foundation is a social enterprise dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities through sustainability, innovation, and inclusive information access. Our online newspaper platform seeks to highlight local voices, tell untold stories, and promote community-driven solutions on topics such as clean energy, refugee livelihoods, education, and resilience.

 

Job Summary:   RGF is revamping its online radio to become a lively platform for learning, engagement, and storytelling. We are looking for two enthusiastic, creative, and community- oriented interns to support this process. This is a non-paid, learning-focused placement ideal for students or early-career individuals seeking experience in community media.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and scheduling of engaging weekly radio shows.
  • Assist with scripting, recording, and editing pre-recorded segments.
  • Coordinate guest interviews and contribute to show planning.
  • Help manage basic technical setup for live or recorded broadcasts (training will be provided).
  • Promote radio content across RGF’s digital platforms.
  • Gather listener feedback and support content improvement.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Recent graduate/awaiting graduation in journalism, media, communications, or a related field.
  • Interest in community radio, podcasting, or digital storytelling.
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and able to work both independently and in a team.
  • Basic audio editing skills are an advantage but not required.
