Job Title: Testing and Quality Assurance Officer
Organisation: National Social Security Fund (NSSF)
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Reports to: Senior Manager IT Services

Job Summary: Develops test plans to test new and existing software, debug code, and improve the usability of software programs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
- Execute tests on source code.
- Analyse test results and report to the development team.
- Work with the development team to correct bugs and errors
- Review and analyse system specifications
- Collaborate with developers to develop effective strategies and test plans.
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results.
- Evaluate product code according to specifications.
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
- Report bugs and errors to development teams.
- Help troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Automation of regression and functional tests with the CI/CD policies.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
- A professional qualification in ITIL or Software Testing or related certifications.
Work Experience:
- At least 3 years experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
