An Admin and HR Manager at GS Construction is responsible for overseeing human resources and administrative operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • HR Management – Developing and implementing HR policies, recruiting personnel, and managing employee relations.
  • Payroll & Benefits – Overseeing salary payments, benefits administration, and tax compliance.
  • Compliance & Labor Laws – Ensuring adherence to labor regulations and company policies.
  • Office Administration – Managing office operations, facilities, and administrative procedures.
  • Employee Support – Addressing concerns, fostering a positive work environment, and handling disputes.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in HR and administration, preferably in construction.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with knowledge of labor laws.

Technical Skills:

  • HR Software – Proficiency in SAP, BambooHR, Workday.
  • Payroll & Benefits – Managing QuickBooks, ADP, Paycor systems.
  • Project Documentation – Handling contracts, permits, compliance.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control – Overseeing administrative expenses.
  • Labor Laws & Compliance – Ensuring OSHA & employment law adherence.
  • HR Analytics & Reporting – Tracking employee data & workforce planning.

Additional Skills:

  • Conflict Resolution – Handling workplace disputes.
  • Employee Engagement – Boosting morale and productivity.
  • Talent Development – Training and workforce planning.
  • Project Coordination – Managing admin across multiple sites.
  • Time Management – Prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Safety & Compliance – Ensuring OSHA and labor law adherence.
  • Procurement – Managing supplier contracts and negotiations.

Reporting Structure:
The Admin and HR Manager will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate closely with site and office employees and other members of the company’s team.
