Location: Makindye, Salaama Rd, Badongo Stage Offices
Reports to: Director Operations
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall strategy, direction, and operations of the organization. This includes leading, Monitoring and Evaluation, cross functional teams, driving business growth, and ensuring alignment with the company's mission, vision, and values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market share.
• Leadership: Lead and manage high-performing teams, including department heads, to achieve business objectives.
• Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and quality standards.
• Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the organization's reputation, financials, or operations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, investors, partners, and regulatory bodies.
• Change Management: Drive organizational change and transformation initiatives to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Talent Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, ensuring employees have the skills and knowledge required to excel.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
• Innovation: Encourage innovation and entrepreneurship, driving the development of new products, services, and processes.
• Structures and Policies: Putting in place company Systems, Structures and Policies, Trainings of employees and the likes.
• Bids: Lead on Bidding, finding opportunities, Fillings and Quoting.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation
• Experience: Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a General Manager or equivalent.
