Job Overview:
As a Procurement Officer at Baoli Restaurant & Lounge, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of all goods and services necessary for the successful operation of our establishment. From high-quality food and beverages to bar supplies and kitchen equipment, you will oversee the procurement process, maintain vendor relationships, and help maintain inventory levels that meet the demands of our fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food & Beverage Supply Management: Coordinate and manage the procurement of all food, beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and bar essentials, ensuring quality standards are met and stock levels are maintained.
- Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers, ensuring the best pricing, reliable delivery schedules, and high-quality products.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, track consumption, and ensure that stock is ordered in a timely manner to avoid shortages or excess. Collaborate with the kitchen, bar, and operations team to forecast needs based on trends and upcoming events.
- Cost Management: Ensure that procurement processes align with budgetary requirements and work towards optimizing costs without compromising on the quality of the product or service.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all products purchased adhere to health and safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies. Perform regular quality checks and liaise with relevant departments to ensure product consistency.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the food and beverage industry, including emerging suppliers, unique ingredients, and premium products.
- Order Processing & Documentation: Handle purchase orders, invoices, and other procurement-related documentation in an organized and timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience (2+ years) in procurement within the hospitality industry, preferably in food, beverages, and bar supplies.
- Strong knowledge of the food and beverage industry, including an understanding of menu planning, bar operations, and supplier management.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management software or procurement tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance regulations in hospitality.
- A passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of guest expectations in fine dining and lounge settings.
