Job Purpose:

To maintain compliance with set service standards, rules (regulations), and procedures and to offer technical guidance on the Music for Health Inclusion project.

Key Result Areas Roles and responsibilities

1. Planning & Budgeting

  • Develop and periodically review the monthly and quarterly operational plans and budgets for effective implementation;
  • Develop and implement annual work plans and strategic plans of the project;
  • Prepare budgets and submit them for approval as regards to the project;

2. Partnerships &Resource mobilisation

  • Identify and establish key partners;
  • Maintains partner relationships and advises management on exists;
  • Initiate, develop and nurture cordial relations with relevant government agencies both at District and sub-county levels, partners, vendors, neighbours, community leaders and the wider stakeholder fraternity;
  • Represent the organization at relevant events and forums to ensure BfA is acknowledged as a legitimate partner/actor;
  • Support in the presentation of specific reports for updating donors and sponsors;
  • Update the Project manager on any new data trends that could be useful in telling a fundraising story;

3. Program management

  • Vet and verify all Healthcare Ambassadors and other programme beneficiaries;
  • Vet and Verify vendors, suppliers and service providers and ensure that items especially those issued to beneficiaries meet the quality and safety thresholds;
  • Ensure safe use of equipment;
  • Contribute to the design of the interventions and development of tools with adequate consultation and participation of staff and other key stakeholders at all stages of implementation of the project;
  • Research and design Training Kits for the Healthcare Ambassadors programmes and ensure that they include the three elements of the project that is; Mental Health, Menstrual Hygiene and Hand Washing;
  • Attend the weekly departmental meetings to update the team on operations

4. Performance Management

  • Ensure efficient utilization and timely accountability of funds and other resources allocated for the project activities by company policies;
  • Maintain a system for capturing, documenting, and disseminating experiences, achievements, lessons learnt and best practices to stakeholders while maintaining records for accountability purposes;
  • Identify and participate in operational research related to the project;
  • Ensure Healthcare Ambassadors clubs and related activities are taking place as per schedule. While coordinating activities of the clubs, the PO must ensure age sensitivity to the information disseminated;

5. Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Ensure all M&E materials needed for the project are available for timely use;
  • Supervise regular data collection and ensure the quality of the data through random verifications and validations;
  • Support coordination of surveys, focus groups, and semi-structured interviews and other periodic programme and project evaluations;

6. Learning & Development

  • Assist co-workers in understanding and implementing activities of the project;
  • Research and find affordable online or local learning opportunities and networks to build the capacity of the beneficiaries;
  • Plan for and conduct training for beneficiaries and other community members engaged in the project;
  • Support in the collection or compilation of success stories, good practices, and case studies;
  • Review the project M&E data and advise the team on implementation lessons and best practices.;
  • Share and disseminate knowledge and experience to improve the programme;

7. Compliance & Reporting

  • To always adhere to the organization’s code of conduct and exhibit professionalism;
  • Be responsible for ensuring compliance with local, district and national requirements, both legal and relational about the project;
  • Prepare and submit quality and timely reports to stakeholders as per programme requirements and the monitoring & evaluation plan.
  • Submit periodic reports as per requirements/projects; Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Management from time to time.

Experience & Qualification:

  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience
  • A bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field from a recognized University/ Institution
