Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting Customers: Welcome guests to the restaurant, escort them to their table, and provide menus.
  • Taking Orders: Listen to customer orders and accurately input them into the system, offering suggestions and answering questions about the menu.
  • Serving Food & Drinks: Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner while ensuring everything is served as ordered.
  • Customer Service: Address customer needs, respond to requests, and resolve any complaints or concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Clearing Tables: Clear dishes, glasses, and utensils from tables after customers have finished their meals.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep dining areas clean, neat, and well-organized, ensuring tables and floors are clear of debris.
  • Upselling: Suggest additional items to enhance the dining experience (such as drinks, desserts, or specials) to increase sales.
  • Processing Payments: Handle payments from customers, including cash and credit card transactions,and provide change as needed.
  • Coordinating with Kitchen Staff: Relay special requests or dietary restrictions to kitchen staff andensure accuracy in orders.
  • Refilling Drinks: Regularly check on customers to refill drinks or provide additional condiments and utensils as needed.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations.


Required Skills:

  • Customer Service: Excellent communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently, especially in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in orders, payments, and customer requests.
  • Stamina and Physical Endurance: Ability to stand and walk for long periods, carry trays of food and drinks, and move quickly through the dining area.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Quick thinking to address customer issues or complaints and find solutions.
  • Basic Math: Ability to handle simple arithmetic for processing payments and giving correct change.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or restaurant
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift trays and carry multiple plates or drinks at once.
