Human Capital Business Solutions Ltd is a Boutique HR Advisory Firm that specializes in strategic HR Consulting, Talent Acquisition & Development, Risk Management and Business Process Outsourced Services with our Headquarters based in Uganda and Country Office in Tanzania.
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent and experienced Digital Marketing Executive to be based in Kampala, Uganda.
Reports To: The Digital Marketing Manager
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Job Summary: The Digital Marketing Executive is responsible for supporting and executing the digital marketing and social media strategies of the organization. S/he will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing social media platforms, implementing digital campaigns, and analyzing performance metrics.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversee a social media strategy and review all content for errors to ensure compliance with the company’s policy and international standards.

• Manage and maintain the company website.
• Write and optimize content for the website and social networking accounts such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.
• Track and analyses website traffic flow and provide regular internal reports.
• Attain key performance indicators such as reducing the website bounce rate, increasing dwell time, or improving the conversion rate.
• Continually work on the Search Engine Optimization of the website.
• Fix any errors or bugs in online content.
• Edit and post videos, podcasts, and audio content on social media platforms/channel.
• Schedule E-mail Marketing as needed.
• Create online banner adverts and oversee pay-per-click ad management.
• Identify new trends in digital marketing, evaluate new technologies and ensure the brand is at the forefront of industry developments, particularly developments in mobile marketing.
• Develop and execute digital marketing and social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and reach our target audience.
• Create compelling content for various digital platforms, including social media posts, blog articles, website copies, and email newsletters, while maintaining brand consistency and tone.
• Manage and monitor social media accounts, including content scheduling, responding to comments/messages, and tracking performance metrics.
• Conduct keyword research, optimize website content, and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and increase website visibility.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and keyword research to identify content opportunities and optimize SEO strategies.

• Plan and execute email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, content creation, and monitoring of key email metrics to improve customer engagement and retention.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as design and sales, to develop visually appealing and engaging digital assets for marketing campaigns.
• Monitor and analyze website analytics, social media insights, and campaign data to measure performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in digital marketing and social media. Explore new platforms and tools to enhance our digital presence.
• Prepare regular reports to communicate social media and digital marketing performance, including key metrics, campaign results, and insights, to stakeholders.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, ICT or a related field.
• Understanding of marketing principle and brand management.
• At least 1-3 Years woking experience as a digital marketing executive.
• Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and strong writing skills with ability to produce compelling content.
• Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts.
• Experienced with B2B and B2C social media and content generation.
• Strong creative and analytical skills.
• Proof reading and editorial skills with a good eye for detail.
• Strong analytical and ICT skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of marketing principle and brand management.
• Knowledge of effective social media techniques.
• Knowledge of web design and development Proven experience of working with government & donor agencies and research institutes.

Barriers to Success in Role
• Inability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision and stay on task.
• Inability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
