JOB DETAILS:
Reporting To: Business Development Manager
Location: Yako Bank Head Office
The Digital Communications Officer will drive institutional brand awareness, loyalty, and visibility through effective management of the bank’s digital presence. This role involves creating innovative communication strategies across various digital platforms to engage stakeholders and enhance the bank’s digital footprint.
Role Purpose
• To create, manage, and distribute digital content that enhances the visibility and reputation of the bank.
• To manage real-time interactions with stakeholders on digital platforms.
• To ensure timely updates and efficient digital communications for the bank’s activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Development and Management
o Develop media content for the bank’s digital platforms.
o Regularly update and manage the website and other digital channels.
o Prepare digital advertising materials in liaison with the Creative Agency.
2. Stakeholder Engagement
o Manage all digital stakeholder interactions and inquiries, ensuring timely responses.
o Ensure the validity and accuracy of digital content across platforms.
o Conduct social media visits to monitor and resolve queries.
3. Digital Strategy and Innovation
o Implement digital communication strategies for the bank.
o Review market and industry research to present innovative ideas for increasing website traffic and user engagement.
o Develop program schedules for real-time updates on news and events.
4. Supplier and Contractor Relations
o Manage relationships with digital contractors and suppliers.
5. Communications and Reporting
o Prepare and distribute e-communications such as promotional materials, e-invites, and event updates.
o Provide periodic reports on digital platform performance and content effectiveness.
Qualifications and Competencies
Educational Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication or a related field from a reputable institution.
Experience
• At least 3 years of experience in digital communications or a similar role, preferably in the banking or service industry.
Skills and Competencies
• Creative design skills (an added advantage).
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Strong digital content development expertise.
• Customer-oriented with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
• Highly organized with effective multitasking and time management skills.
• Proficient in managing digital platforms and social media tools.
