JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
• To facilitate all payments and to ensure that all collections are receipted on a daily basis in order to enhance customer satisfaction
• Support Accountants and Senior Accountants in the discharge of their duties.
Roles And Responsibilities
• Receipt payments made by clients by cheque, mobile money or automatic debits.
• Post transactions in cash register or other approved means.
• Perform bank reconciliations and effectively follow up the resolution of reconciling items.
• Booking all expenses into the correct expense accounts
• Raising payment vouchers for all management and non-production obligations.
• Posting claims payment vouchers and raising cheques for the same.
• Carry out petty cash payment and reimbursements and maintain the necessary records thereof.
• Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time
Learning and Growth
• Understand and actively support and advocate the ICEA LION’s mission, vision and core values.
• Understand the Company’s Customer Service Standards and apply them on a day to day basis.
• Continue to participate in company organized extra-curricular activities / team building and build personal skills in order to address any competency gaps.
Experience, Academic And Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferably accounting options
• 1-2 years working experience in a similar position.
• Professional qualification (CPA /ACCA) added advantage
Core Technical Competencies Required For The Role
• Computer literacy, especially Ms Excel and Access; familiarity with accounting software a definite advantage.
• Ability to deal effectively with internal and statutory auditors.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Strong work ethics and commitment to personal and corporate integrity.
• A strong team player; organised and creative in work improvement processes.
• Interest in and ability to streamline accounting process systems (manual and automated) to achieve added efficiency and robustness.
• Solid interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels and functions.
• Excellent planning and organising skills including multi-tasking under pressure.
