JOB DETAILS:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled and experienced Accountant to work in Kakerenge-Bombo.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Ensure all financial data, such as invoices, receipts, and payments, are recorded accurately in the accounting system to prevent errors in financial reports.
• Process financial transactions, such as payments and receipts, promptly to maintain up-to-date financial records and meet payment deadlines.
• Adhere to relevant accounting standards, regulations, and organizational policies to ensure proper handling of financial data.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for easy retrieval during audits or financial reviews.
• Regularly reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure all discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports by providing accurate and timely data, ensuring the reports are compliant with organizational guidelines and accounting principles.
• Manage interactions with vendors, clients, or internal stakeholders regarding billing, payments, and account queries in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive financial information, handling it with discretion and following security protocols.
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in financial transactions or records to maintain financial accuracy.
• Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors in accounting operations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial budgets and projections for smooth operation of the company
• Maintain the ACL Asset Register and ensures that it is updated as and when new assets are procured including allocation of engrave numbers.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory deductions like NSSF, WHT and PAYE submission by crosschecking authenticity of all supporting documents submitted and their accuracy.
• Generate reports on Non-Tax Revenue collections on weekly, monthly basis and also on spot reporting on request.
• Ensure compliance with and timely filling of all returns.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time by the Head of Finance and accounts department.
Experience And Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration accounts option or any other related Business Studies.
• Minimum Level II CPA certification
• At least five (5) years working experience in the grain processing or manufacturing industry.
• Strong attention to detail and a target-driven approach.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
