About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a leading private security organization in Uganda, we are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Senior Finance Officer. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the financial functions of the organization and ensuring adherence to financial policies and standards.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing the preparation of financial statements and reports.

2. Managing budgets and ensuring proper allocation of resources.

3. Monitoring and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
4. Supervising the accounting team and ensuring accurate record-keeping.

5. Implementing financial controls and improving systems for better efficiency.
6. Preparing for and liaising with external auditors during audits.

7. Providing financial insights and advice to senior management for decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (a professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA is an added advantage).
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a similar industry.
3. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office tools.
6. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
