JOB DETAILS:
We’re looking for an experienced and strategic People Operations Manager to lead our talent strategy in Uganda, be the custodian of our culture while supporting business objectives and startup speed.

Key Responsibilities:
● Work with hiring managers to develop and refine job description announcements, and support the recruitment and interviewing process (E.g. shortlisting, candidate communications, etc.)
● Develop selection assessment tools (E.g. interview questions, case studies, and rating standards) in close collaboration with hiring managers

● Develop a structural process for the identification and analysis of learning a development needs, to ensure that performance gaps or skills gaps are addressed effectively

● Build a comprehensive Learning and Development model to support employee growth and succession plans.
● Evaluate the impact of L&D on performance and behavior improvements to provide recommendations for future actions
● Implement new processes and policies to continually improve the efficiency the People Operations function and the organization as a whole, and improve the employee experience
● Ensures legal compliance with applicable employment laws
● Manage the operations of disciplinary activities including the required paperwork, investigative report analysis and communications Monitor and Support our Performance Culture

● Coordinate performance evaluation procedures, guidelines, documents, and training material.

○ Support/facilitate performance-related training & coaching including evaluation tools & forms Data Management and HR Administration
● Maintain and update employee files, manage employee benefits programs support immigration requirements
● Oversee the budgets and logistics for all the staff engagement activities alongside the Office Manager

Skills & Qualification
● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or related field
● Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration or a related from an accredited institution
● Strong knowledge of existing labour laws
● At least 3-5 years’ relevant experience
