JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for managing, curating, and growing the organization's social media presence. This role involves creating engaging content, analyzing platform metrics, and implementing strategies to increase audience reach and engagement.
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement social media strategies to grow audience engagement across platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
• Curate and schedule compelling content, including text, visuals, videos, and graphics tailored to each platform.
• Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns.
• Engage with online audiences by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly.
• Collaborate with the editorial and creative teams to align content with brand messaging.
• Keep up-to-date with social media trends, emerging platforms, and tools to optimize engagement.
• Generate reports on social media KPIs and suggest strategies for improvement.
• Develop campaigns to promote company initiatives, events, and branded content.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Academic: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
• Professional: Certification in Social Media Management is an added advantage.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in managing social media accounts in a professional setting.
Core Competencies:
• Proficiency in social media tools ( Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
• Excellent content creation, writing, and visual design skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and apply insights.
• Strong creativity and understanding of audience engagement strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
