JOB DETAILS:
The category specialist-Hair Care is responsible for understanding market trends, consumer needs, and competitor activities to make informed decisions about strategies to drive growth, optimize product assortment, pricing, promotions, placement, and new product development initiatives.

Functional Outputs /Activities per Key Performance areas
• Develop and implement category strategies to drive growth and profitability objectives within the Hair care category.
• Conduct market research and analysis to understand consumer trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for category growth.
• Manage the product assortment within the Hair care category, including selecting new products, discontinuing underperforming products, and optimizing the product mix.
• Develop and implement pricing strategies for hair care products to maximize profitability and competitiveness in the market.
• Lead and coordinate new product development initiatives from concept to launch and ensuring alignment with category strategy and market needs.
• Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, advertising strategies, and marketing initiatives for Hair care products.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors of Hair care products, including negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and resolving issues.
• Provide support to the commercial team by developing sales materials, conducting
product training, and analyzing sales data to identify opportunities for growth.
• Forecast demand for Hair care products and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal
stock levels and minimize stockouts.
• Conduct financial analysis of the Hair care category, including sales performance, profitability, and return on investment for marketing and promotional activities.
Financial Management
• Preparation of the Category Department Budget as per the set guidelines
• Net Margin Accountability for subcategory/Category
• Monitor and control the allocated budget
Risk and Compliance
• Identify risk due to change in Category Consumer Behaviour and trends.
• Ensure regulatory compliance in execution of activities across the Group.
• Ensure adherence to the Movit Group and In Country Policies and Procedures.
• Prepare and submit Brand reports.
Minimum Qualification Requirements: Related Minimum Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing is an added advantage. Marketing Professional certification desirable.
• 2 years relevant experience in FMCG Industry preferably in Category Management.
