Job Title:  Recruiting Assistants (2 Job Opportunities)

Sinopec Service is engaged in the provision of all project phases service for various sectors, including oil & gas, power, buildings, roads and bridges etc. We are looking for Construction and Project support personnel.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the HR manager in monitoring the manpower plan and developing the local communities’ recruitment plan to support the achievement of the overall project operations objectives
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Communicate with employees before and after employment to ensure harmonious employment relationship
  • Give suggestion to revise and implement HR policies and procedures, and ensure legal compliance throughout HR management
  • Assist in overseeing and administering the performance evaluation programme
  • Implement and update HR management information
  • Assist and coordinate the development of training and upskilling programmes
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
  • Maintain employee records
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates for various positions in accordance with organizational needs and industry standards.
  • Utilize various recruitment channels including job boards, social media, and networking to source candidates effectively.
  • Conduct job market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, salary benchmarks, and skills in demand.
  • Administer relevant assessments, background checks, and reference checks as part of the selection process to ensure candidates meet the standards required by the organization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates, including passive job seekers, to create a talent pool for future recruitment needs.
  • Ensure compliance with Ugandan labour laws and regulations pertaining to recruitment and employment practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, candidate data, and hiring metrics to assist in reporting and analysis.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, administration, or a related field
  • At least three years of related working experience.
  • Candidates with Local Community Relationship Management and international project working experience are preferred
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Proficient in English, Office Software
  • Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred.
  • The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English, and Chinese competency will be a plus.
