Job description
Location: Kampala, Uganda.
The Optometrists will be part of our team in Uganda in one of our optical centers.
The Optometrist will conduct vision tests within our optical centers. He/she shall also be involved in sales and marketing of Lapaire products and services.
He/She will work closely with the Branch Manager, Area & Operations Manager, as well as Sales Representatives.
His/her job will be composed of 2 main tasks
Conduct & realize vision tests with potential clients
• Mastering digital and analogue tools to conduct vision tests
• Identify potential vision problems
• Explain clearly the benefits of eyeglasses based on the sight problem identified previously and help make the sale of the product
• Conducting Refraction and other vision-related tests on patients at the branch or in the field
Manage lenses deliveries
• Verify that deliveries of lenses match orders
• Make sure that lenses are properly mounted on the frames
• Manage deliveries of eyeglasses to customers
Candidate profile
Graduated or anticipating graduation with a degree or diploma in Optometry, Ophthalmic Clinical Training or Opthalmology.
Previous professional experience as an optometrist highly appreciated.
Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role (employment, internship or clinical rotation) is required to be considered for this role.
Possessing sales & marketing skills would be an advantage.
The candidate should be comfortable using new technologies, mobile apps and software on phone & computer.
