Impact Water is a global non-profit committed to ensuring access to safe drinking water. Operating in Uganda, Nigeria, and Kenya, our mission is to provide affordable water treatment technologies to schools, ensuring students have access to clean drinking water. We have served over 3,200 schools in Uganda, impacting the lives of more than 2.3 million students annually.
We’re looking for dedicated Temporary Field Agents to join our team and help us reach our ambitious goals of expanding access to clean water across Uganda.
Job Description
Field Agents are essential to Impact Water’s operations. They educate learners on the importance of drinking clean water and ensure the proper functioning of water purification systems in schools. This is a temporary, field-based role requiring extensive travel.
Key Responsibilities
• System Maintenance: Ensure water purification systems function correctly by maintaining, distributing, and replacing parts (e.g., filters, UV lamps).
• Awareness Campaigns: Educate students and staff on the benefits of clean water and the use of Impact Water systems during School Engagement and Product Usage (SEPU) visits.
• Data Collection: Record and report accurate data via mobile devices to guide decision-making and report accomplishments.
• Water Quality Assurance: Conduct water quality tests, troubleshoot issues, and work with schools to ensure systems are effectively used.
• Additional Duties: Support administrative tasks, liaise with local officials, and conduct research as directed by the Field Coordinator.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:
• A diploma or degree in any field (Education or Social Work preferred).
• Fluency in English and the local language of the assigned district.
• Residency in the assigned district with knowledge of its geography and culture.
• Willingness to travel extensively to schools, often in remote areas.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to accurately record data and maintain attention to detail.
• Ownership of a reliable Android phone.
• High levels of honesty, integrity, and a passion for improving lives.
• Experience in data collection or social work (preferred).

Location and Travel
This is a district-based role requiring daily travel to schools, Monday through Friday, over a six-week employment period.
