Job description
The Health Insurance Sales Agent is responsible for promoting and selling health insurance products to individuals and businesses. The role involves identifying customer needs, providing product information, and guiding clients through the insurance purchasing process. The agent will work to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and contributing to the growth of the company’s customer base. This role requires a proactive approach to sales and the ability to effectively communicate the value and benefits of health insurance products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Client Acquisition:
• Identify potential clients through various channels, including referrals, cold calling, and networking.
• Present, promote, and sell health insurance products to prospective customers.
• Conduct needs analysis to determine the best insurance options for clients.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
• Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
• Follow up on leads and maintain regular communication with existing clients.
3. Product Knowledge:
• Stay informed about the company’s health insurance products and any updates or changes.
• Clearly communicate the features, benefits, and exclusions of different insurance plans to
clients.
4. Sales Targets and Reporting:
• Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and goals.
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide feedback on market trends and customer needs to inform product development and marketing strategies.
5. Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
• Accurately complete all necessary documentation for insurance applications and contracts.
• Maintain up-to-date records of client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
• At least 1 year of experience in sales, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using computers and sales software.
