JOB DETAILS:
HelpAge Advocacy Network Uganda (HANU) is the country’s age care network that targets to provide high-quality and compassionate care that meets the physical, emotional, and social needs of older persons in Uganda. The network further aims to advocate for age-friendly policies and programs both at national and sub-national levels, to advocate for the rights and well-being of older persons in Uganda to enhance the quality of care and address evolving needs of the ageing population through research, innovation, and best practices. It is also a platform and a hub of resources for exchange of best practices and knowledge, innovation and collaboration for the benefit of older persons, to foster joint resource mobilization for members’ organizations and to strengthen the capacities of age care organization.
HelpAge Advocacy Network is dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of older persons. We aim to create an interactive website that will serve as a platform for advocacy, information dissemination, and community engagement.
Objective
The objective of this consultancy is to design and develop an interactive website for HelpAge Advocacy Network within a period of two months.

Scope of Work
The Consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Design and develop a user-friendly, interactive website.

• Ensure the website is accessible and responsive across various devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).

• Integrate features such as a blog, event calendar, resource library, and contact forms.
• Provide training to HelpAge Advocacy Network Uganda Board, staff and volunteers on website management and updates.
• Offer post-launch support for a period of two months.

Deliverables
The Consultant is expected to deliver the following:
• A fully functional, interactive website.
• Documentation of the website structure and user guide.
• Training sessions for HelpAge Advocacy Network Uganda Board, staff and volunteers
• Post-launch support for two months.

Duration
The consultancy will last for a period of two months from the date of contract signing.

Payment Terms
The payment will be made in two instalments:
• 50% of the total cost at the start of the project.
• 50% upon successful completion and handover of the website.
