The Government of Uganda (COU) represented by National Forestry Authority has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Investing in Forests and Protected Areas for Climate Smart Development (IFPA-CD) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Water and Environment (MVE, Lead Agency), the Uganda Wildlife Authority and the National Forest Authority with the involvement of the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities in tourism-related activities
The consulting services (the Services") include Staff training in tourism activities for the duration of two (02) months. The main objective of the assignment is to prepare the training, deliver the training to build capacity of the identified NFA staff at the headquarters in ecotourism activities and in tour guiding skills in order to enhance the guests' tourist expectations and to improve the livelihoods of the forest adjacent communities.

The National Forestry Authority now invites eligible Consulting firms ("Consultants") to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.
The shortlisting criteria are
• Sound Knowledge of ecotourism and nature-based tourism in East African landscape.
• Ability to field as ten of experts skilled in the field of Ecotourism Maring Product delopment, Nature interpretation, Customer care and handing and Human-wildlife interaction plus a sufficient tional manageral and staffing capacity to operate across forestylems with a programme of consistent quality. • Experience in managing contracts of a comparable and scope
• Demonstrated ability to outline the link of ecotourism with other relevant private and govemment sectors for integrated business development
• Demonstrated capacity to deliver well written and well-designed English reports and visual materials that will require no further editorial work once completed
• The Qualification and experience of Key Experts will not be evaluated at the shortlisting stage.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, persgraphs, 3.14, 316, and 3.17 of the World Bank's Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers' deled November 2020 (Procurement Regulations), setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.
Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture andor a sub-consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally lable for the entire contract, if selected
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultant's Qualifications based Selection (CQS) Method set out in the Procurement Regulations available at www.worldbank.org/procurement. 8.
