JOB DETAILS:

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
City: Kampala
Duties & Responsibilities
• Ensures the correct implementation of the approved Quality Control Plans (& Inspection Test Plans) according to Company QA/QC requirements.
• Walks through the project and compiles inspection requests at least a day before the inspection. Forecasts and plans inspection & testing for the next week.

• Executes specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction processes on site. Check materials quality, reviewing site purchase orders to ensure that the applicable requirements are met.
• Supervises the effective implementation of all testing and inspection programs and ensure adherence to all procedures and liaises with laboratory to ensure field testing is done as per approved inspection requests and on time.

• Verifies the calibration status of all inspection, measuring and testing equipment, revision status of drawings, ITPs, Method Statement on use on site. Outdated documents shall be removed from site.

• Shall always be in possession relevant up to date QCPs and drawings, whenever on site.
• Submits all quality records generated on site to QA/QC manager, on same day of inspection and or testing.

• Identifies non-conformances on site and reports and ensures corrective action

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field preferred.
• A minimum experience of 3 years in quality control operations on the construction projects in similar field of specialization.
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office and MS. Projects.
• Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Flexible working hours.
