Job Description/Requirements
MAIN JOB PURPOSE
The Supply Planning Executive (SPE) is responsible for stewardship of the Supplies and Logistics functions to meet company’s market share and profit objectives;
The SPE will play a supporting role by providing timely reports to enable management decision making at all times when needed.
GENERAL ACTIVITIES OF THE JOB
Carry out market research and analysis to establish trends and explore opportunities and initiatives to reduce the company’s cost of sales and deliver quality & timely supplies;
Do forecasts for different products based on usage trends and procure products to support Sales Business Units
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES OF THE JOB
- Cost effectively procure and evacuate all company products to ensure zero stock-outs;
- Review
- Source and manage relationships with company suppliers (Transporters, Clearing agents, service providers etc.) to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services;
- Carry out market intelligence and evaluate the competition products sourcing and cost trends and implement cost reduction strategies;
- Review sales numbers and plan stocks to support business needs while avoiding overstocking
- Follow up document processing, tax needs to ensure no rent/demurrages are levied for consignments in transit.
- Develop annual budgets in accordance with the planned overall business objectives;
- Prepare periodic stock forecasts and performance reports with recommendations to the MD and CMT;
- Ensure compliance to all group policies and guidelines;
- Execute any other roles as assigned by the STM.
COURSE /DEGREE
REQUIRED
- Business Administration, Operations and Logistics Management,
- Supply chain management or any other related course
- Experience in oil and gas is an added advantage
