Description
JOB DETAILS:
Oversee the credit administration processes and procedures in the bank, including documentation, collateral perfection, collateral custody, next day reviews and loan disbursement whilst monitoring the repayment progress and recovery initiatives for delinquent accounts.
Key Result Areas:
• Ensure that all collaterals in OBUL custody are safe and properly recorded in the registers
• Manage the file store and ensure that all files are kept safe at all time
• Ensure that all credit GLs are reconciled and monthly reports submitted to management for decision making.
• Maintain a tracker of all pre-disbursement and post disbursement conditions of all loans to ensure they are fulfilled and periodic reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly) are shared with management
• Ensure that next day reviews are done and shared with the Supervisor on daily basis
• In liaison with the Principal Insurance Officer and the branches, an updated consolidated insurance tracker for policies is maintained at all times and ensure policies are renewed timely
• To ensure that instructions to OBUL service providers who perfect collaterals and Valuers are timely issued
• Provide management with periodic reports on Collateral management and closure of audit findings in the areas of Credit Administration.
• Prepare weekly and monthly relevant credit reports.
• Monitor the Banks PAR on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, detecting early warning signs of possible default AND advise the unit accordingly
• Enforce the implementation of the Bank’s credit policies and procedures
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports to the Supervisor Credit Administration
• Any other business as required by your Supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics and any business-related degree.
• Professional accounting or audit qualification (an added advantage)
• At least 2 years in credit assessment and approval processes or collateral management experience.
Personal skills and abilities:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical skills
• Detail oriented
• Presentation skills necessary for training
• Competence in the use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
