JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary: The project Finance and Admin Assistant will centrally coordinate and manage all financial and administrative aspects of the Project, including all basic human resource-related activities and financial and other resources. He/she will prepare relevant financial and administrative documentation relating to the project and will undertake all detailed planning as well as work relating to administration and logistical support for the project. S/he will ensure that the project is managed with the conditions of the grant and implemented effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities:
1. Assist in project Financial management.
• Prepare monthly budgetary control statements to determine the financial performance of the relevant thematic areas for the project.
• Monitor and prepare monthly project budget variance reports and distribute them for review as appropriate; identify and seek resolution to potential line budget overspends.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of project financial management policies and procedures as well as project transactions.
• Support timely expenditure approval and payment processing.
• Assist in preparing reports for internal and external use and in meeting reporting obligations to the funder.
1. Coordinate all project logistics, including procurement, transportation, shipping, storage, and maintenance.
2. Support administering of agreements and contracts with multiple partners.
Academic Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in Commence, Finance & accounting , Micro finance and any other business related course
Educational requirements
• Essential: Bachelor in Business Administration (Accounting), Microfinance, or Commerce.
• Additional requirement; At least Level 2 of ACCA or CPA will be an added advantage.
Working experience, Knowledge and Skills
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a finance public or international NGO environment more preferably in a health sector
• Working experience in institutional development, and project management and conversant with working with MOH systems
• Experience in managing UK or US government funds (rules and regulations) will be an added advantage
• Good interpersonal & communication skills, including intercultural communication, and excellent language skills in English
• Stress management and ability to multitask
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
