Job Purpose
The job holder will be responsible for the development and management of operational marketing plan and to oversee the executing and implementation of the various efforts associated with the plan, including the evaluating of the results of various marketing campaigns, the spearheading of market research efforts and the coordination of initiatives across a variety of channels.
The incumbent will also be responsible for the development of marketing programs and game development for specific channels, by understanding the Ugandan markets need to lead acquisitions, foster customer retention, provide sales support and advance brand building for key National Lottery products (brands).

Accountabilities
Strategy Planning & Formulation
• Development, execute and evaluate the company’s marketing strategy.
• This includes:
• Collaborating with the Head of Marketing, Marketing Department and other departments
• Positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments

• Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go- to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics

• Preparing proposals for and/or guiding and assisting the business in the development, implementation and evaluation of specific plans/ programmes, ensuring that these align with the company’s over-arching strategy, brand identity and corporate relations strategy.

• Ensuring that all marketing strategies adhere to the marketing code of good practice.

• Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets
Grow sales through targeted marketing strategies
• To grow sales and establish brand awareness with customers through market penetration of exciting and expanded game portfolios and higher percentage of guaranteed jackpot pay- outs
Marketing & Communications
• Manage the day to day operational marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments in support of our overall strategic marketing plan.
• Market through various channels and segment databases working with large data sets

• Develop business cases for marketing programs at the proposal stage and make recommendations on marketing tactics.
• Evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives.
• Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies

• Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly
• Propose and manage marketing research projects to generate consumer insights in support of improved marketing strategy and communications
• Partner with creative teams, other internal stakeholders, and external agencies and vendors
• Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes
• Conceptualize and execute on multi- channel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels
• Working in partnership with the creative team and other departments, develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public--facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets
• Identifying opportunities to increase product and brand awareness.
• Steering the design, development and implementation, including the look, feel and positioning, of all company-wide communication platforms (web, electronic, print, social media) to ensure a consistent, cutting edge and professional brand experience.
Merchandising/Trade marketing
• Creation and operational management of all marketing material in line with marketing plans, including the design, development, maintenance and on-going quality control of all marketing materials, as well as the selection, procurement and distribution of promotional items and gifts, in support of and in line with brand image
• Develop trade marketing touch points and strategies to maximize.
• Create all point of sales merchandising and ensure compliance to product and company branding prescripts. Major collaterals include Sales, Marketing,
• Events and activations. Policy and Process Management
• To ensure player protection through effective and compliant governance processes.
• Ensure alignment of marketing plan and campaigns to license requirements.
• Manage content and updates for customer and internal touch points, documenting business processes, and providing additional sales support.
Budgeting/ Financial Management
• Prepare, manage and administer the marketing budget in collaboration with the Head of Marketing and media buying team.
