JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
To Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specific specifications, and QMS requirements related to all Albertine Waste Management JV Projects and its partners (The Initiates, White Nile Consult and Epsilon)

Duties & Responsibilities of the Position
• Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues.
• Monitor all operations that affect quality
• Ensuring the promotion of awareness of Quality requirements throughout the organization.
• Supervise and guide Inspectors, Technicians and other staff on quality issues.

 

 

• Assure the reliability and consistency by checking processes.

 

 

• Report all malfunctions to Project Manager to ensure immediate action
• Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analysing quality data.
• Review current standards and policies.
• Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation.
• Ensure all Quality legal standards are met.
• Maintain systems of auditing and monitoring of the JV’s Procedures, in accordance with the Quality Regulations and Standards.
• Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections.

 

 

• Ensure and promote continuous improvement and participation in the Environment, Health and Safety Management in all your operations, activities and among all employees

 

 

• Any other duties assigned in the area of jurisdiction.

Qualification Requirements
Academic Qualification Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environment, Engineering or other field from a recognized institute

A current relevant Quality qualification (e.g. ISO 9001 Auditor Certificate or equivalent) Professional Qualification Required for Position: A current relevant Quality qualification (e.g. ISO 9001 Auditor Certificate or equivalent)

Experience and competency requirement
Experience Required for Position: 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Competencies Required for the position: Planning and organizing, leadership, problem solving, communication and negotiation skills, supervision skills, independent and self-motivated

Knowledge Requirement
Waste management: National and international waste management concepts, technology and legislation.

QA/QC Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards

 

 

QHSSSE Management Systems: Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 implementation and auditing including Social and Security management

100% Customer satisfaction (Internal & External)
Number of Customer Complaints. - Zero Tolerance

100% Productivity
• Number of Quality meetings Conducted - At least 2 meetings per Quarter
• Number of Operations/ Management Meetings Attended- All, Unless Occupied.
• Response Time: Timely Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly reporting – Not exceeding 8 pm, Monday of the following week and 7th of the following month respectively
