Job Description/Requirements

REMI-Resource Mobilization Initiative is seeking an experienced Social Media manager to head a team of content developers and administer its social media accounts. The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising and creating original video and text content, engaging with REMI followers and managing posts to accelerate its success via marketing goals. The Social Media Manager is expected to be well-versed in the latest digital technologies and social media trends. To be successful as a social media manager, you should have in-depth knowledge of SEO, analytics, and content management tools.

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Designing and Developing Social Media Strategies: Creating and developing social media strategies, setting goals to enhance brand awareness, and increase engagement.
  2. Managing Multiple Social Media Platforms: Overseeing all social media platforms of the company, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
  3. Content Planning and Creation: Developing content plans, strategizing, and delivering them to the team for implementation.
  4. Performance Analysis: Conducting performance analysis to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns, providing reports, and offering recommendations for improvements.
  5. Scheduling Content: Managing content posting schedules, utilizing social media management tools like Hootsuite or Buffer.
  6. Paid Advertising Campaigns: Creating, managing, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms.
  7. Market Research and Competitor Analysis: Conducting market and competitor research, identifying the latest trends in social media to ensure the company or brand stays at the forefront.
  8. Creative Contribution: Contributing to the development of creative ideas for content and social media campaigns.
  9. Budget Management: Managing the budget allocated for social media campaigns and ensuring expenditures remain within budgetary limits.
  10. Reputation Management: Monitoring and maintaining the company or brand's reputation on social media by addressing negative reviews or comments.

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing is essential.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in social media platforms, content creation, community management, analytics tools, and copywriting are crucial.
  • Candidates should demonstrate creativity, strategic thinking, and adaptability in managing social media channels effectively.
