NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for a new EU funded project - Technical Assistance to National Institute of Statistics NISR and is looking to identify individual experts to carry out the assignment.
The objective of this assignment is to contribute to the modernization of statistics production in Rwanda and improve uptake of statistics across the National Statistics System.
Location: Kigali, Rwanda
Duration: The indicative start date is 30/11/2024 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 730 days from this date (indicative end date: 30/11/2026).
Team Leader – Research methodology Expert (Cat. I)
The expert will have overall responsibility for overall technical assistance to NISR as a team leader, and will report to NISR and EUD on progress made of various experts, as well as enriching and expanding data supply across the NSS, and enhancing capacity in new approaches to research methodology and sampling techniques in line with the priorities set in upcoming NST-2.
Expert category: Home Based - Cat. I (>12 years of experience)
Qualifications and skills:
- A Master's degree (or higher) in statistics, research methods, social sciences, or a related field.
- Language skills: English
General professional experience:
More than 12 years in conducting advanced statistical training, particularly in sampling techniques and research methodology as well as in project management, preferably in EU projects.
Specific professional experience:
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing household-based and establishment-based surveys.
- Extensive knowledge of research design, qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Extensive knowledge on job creation / employment statistics collection and measurement.
