Job Summary
The Head of Credit Policy & Portfolio Management is part of retail credit risk management complement and will be responsible for overall management of credit policy and credit enablement/ support functions related to retail and SME Micro portfolios.
Job Description
The role holder will be responsible for training, coaching and capacity building of other colleagues in the team and the wider risk, credit operations and collections teams and align them to the retail credit policies and standards. The role holder will work closely with business stakeholders in sales, products, credit operations, collections & recoveries, and IT to deliver the objectives of business related to retail/ consumer lending portfolio across retail credit life cycle.
Education and Experience required.
Essential
• Undergraduate degree in Quantitative Economics, Financial Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Commerce, and any other financial or accounting discipline.
Preferred
• Risk management background and experience
• Postgraduate degree e.g., MBA, Finance Services etc.…
• Others e.g., ACCA, CMA, CIMA, PRMIA are added advantages.
Knowledge and skills:
• Comprehensive technical credit risk skills
• General commercial/industry awareness
• Working knowledge of risk management policies, procedures & pricing
• Working knowledge of Group policies and strategies relative to the credit function
• Product knowledge
• Detailed understanding / fit of the vision for Risk
• Detailed understanding of the Bank’s policies on Employment/Redeployment, Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety
• Working knowledge of local country structure and strategy
• Leadership and performance development of a team
