TLA provides comprehensive freight forwarding services for inbound and outbound shipments to and from Uganda, connecting with global destinations. We oversee cargo freight by Air, Land and Sea, namely: – LCL (Less than Container Load), FCL (Full Container Load), OOG (Out of Gauge), Break Bulk (BB) and Heavy Lift (HL); from almost any origin to any destination, aboard any carrier.

Responsibilities

  • Building market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationship
  • Identifying and analysing sales opportunities with customers with key account potential; leading contract negotiations and concluding framework agreements.
  • Creation of action and project plans as well as their implementation for defined potential customers.
  • Service customer relationships and grow share of wallet.
  • Continuous expansion of in-depth industry know-how and its networking with logistics solutions to convey added value to potential customers.
  • Identification of industry-specific logistics requirements and development of corresponding industry solutions in cooperation with internal departments.
  • Establishment and continuous expansion of professional relationship and contact management involving various internal and external sources, as well as social media platforms.
  • Maintains a network of potential customers based on own or initiated market research and manages them in a pipeline.
  • Promotes and actively supports international cooperation with internal stakeholders.
  • Preparation of reports and analyses for internal decision-making bodies
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of sales budgets that represent and align with organizational objectives.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Candidate specification

Educational requirements

  • Any relevant Bachelor’s Degree Work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position in the freight forwarding or insurance industry
