JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for a candidate will provide administrative support to the Human Resource department, including computation of overtime, updating employee leave records and filing Human Resource documents accordingly. You should also be able to distribute employee communications, notifying staff of policy and procedural changes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in new employee orientation and induction.
• Open files for new staff and ensure all requirements are submitted.

• Assist in the computation of monthly staff overtime for addition into payroll.

• Assist Line Managers with Staff service records and reports whenever necessary while maintaining utmost confidentiality.
• Assist the Human Resource Supervisor in shortlisting and interviewing of applicants for various roles.
• Liaise with Line Managers/ Head of Department to monitor the performance of Graduate Management Trainees.
• Coordinate the development and updating/ reviewing of staff job descriptions.
• Disseminate general staff communications e.g., memos and other correspondences.
• Resolve staff queries and general inquires.
• Assist in updating staff leave data and processing leave allowance.
• Attend disciplinary hearings and prepare minutes in a timely manner.
• Sensitize staff about the Human Resource Policies, procedures, rights and duties
• Maintain and update staff records with relevant documents.
• Ensure proper arrangement of staff files for easy retrieval.
• Conduct exit interviews for departing staff.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications and Skills:
• Make periodic visits to 2nd Street to attend to staff queries.
• Attend departmental meetings.
• Bachelor of Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Industrial and Organizational Psychology or Equivalent.
• Work experience
• At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources, gained in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Additional skills
• Should have good communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the HRIS system is desirable.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Must be people oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Should possess good time management skills.
