Job Overview:
This role will be managing the planning, technical support and installation stages of construction projects in line with McDermott procedures, drawings and documentation and that all jobs are carried out as per the Company’s operating standards. Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the construction manager and subcontractors.
Conducting regular checks on materials, procedures and installations to ensure compliance with industry regulations, McDermott operating standards and project requirements.
Successful candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas engineering & construction projects with Planning and Executing Lifts with crawler and mobile cranes upto 350T and transport of oversize loads using specialist equipment and SPMTs.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Give Support the Technical Services manager and Construction Manager for the execution of the project
- Review and development of Lifting and load calculations and project documentation
- Studying the preferred methods of crane utilisation, sequence planning, coordination of lifts
- Ensure lifting works is carried out to project specifications and procedures
- Ensure erection and installation is complete and to project drawings and specifications
- Review of subcontractor documentation for lift planning and approval of lift plans working with MDR corporate technical teams
- Resolution of technical issues raised by installation crews
- Tracking of certification of lifting equipment utilised on site
- Coordination of works between subcontractors and supporting construction supervisors
- High standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with Code of Business Conduct
- Ensure that the National Content Plan is followed by all parties (McDermott and Subcontractors)
- Completion coordination and tracing ready for commissioning activities
- Training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company’s policies, processes and procedures are communicated. As well as Oil and Gas construction processes and procedures
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or relevant 3 rd party competence certificates for rigging and lifting
- Advance proficiency in crane planning software, In-depth knowledge of Oil and Gas construction industry regulations for lifting and heavy transport
- Proficient computer skills - MS Office Suite
- Experience in use of Technical Drawing software (AutoCAD,) and engineering design software
