JOB DETAILS:
Qualifications:
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in either Education, Information Technology or Journalism (First class or second class upper) from Uganda Christian University.
• Have experience with eLearning development platforms and tools such as Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard.
• Should demonstrate an interest in instructional design principles and methodologies to create engaging and effective online learning experiences.
• Should have an understanding of multimedia production, including video editing, graphics design, and audio recording.
• Your knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and their functionality is essential for this role.
• Must possess quality written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with faculty, staff, and students.
• Should be detail-oriented and highly organized in order to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Should be able to adapt quickly to new technologies demonstrate a curiosity for them and stay up-to-date with emerging trends in eLearning and educational technology.
• Creativity and innovative thinking when designing interactive and immersive eLearning content is an added advantage.
• Should be a committed Christian of high integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• To operate as a welcoming host to the eLearning Centre. You will check-in and organize visitors and users of the eLearning Centre.
• To support eLearning technology through use of the equipment in the eLearning Centre and implement best practices in instructional design.
• To provide support for the development and design of eLearning courses, ensuring they are engaging and interactive.
• To create and edit multimedia elements such as videos, graphics, and animations for eLearning.
• To perform quality assurance checks on eLearning materials to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• To assist in the training and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) used for eLearning courses.
• To provide technical support to faculty and students enrolled in eLearning courses, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems.
• To stay up-to-date with advancements in eLearning tools and technologies, actively seeking opportunities for professional development.
