JOB DETAILS:
Busoga Forestry Company ('BFC') is a vertically integrated FSC certified operation with two plantations (Bukaleba & Kachung) with approximately 6,500ha planted to Pine and Eucalyptus.
BFC operates a Sawmill and a Pole Treatment Plant and supplies Forest Products and Biomass to surrounding industries.

Overall responsibility:
Acquiring goods and services necessary for business operations, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient, Value for money, high quality and comply with company standards.

Key Accountabilities
• Developing and reviewing company strategies for ordering supplies and equipment for the company
• Preparing organisation wide procurement plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.

• Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports Evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts in line with company's procurement policies and procedures.

• Negotiating contracts with vendors for new purchases
• Reviewing, comparing, analysing, and overseeing and approving timely purchase of products and services

• Managing inventories to ensure adequate stock Maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
• Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
• Researching and evaluating prospective
• suppliers.
• Supervising Store management in all BFC stations,
• Communicating with Suppliers to maintain positive relations,

Knowledge, Skills and Qualification:
• Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management/ BSC Accounting/ BBA, CIPS added Advantage
• 3 years experience as a Procurement Officer in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software (Sage X3).
• Networking and Negotiation Skills
