Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client Inspire Africa Coffee, we are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced Chief Financial Officer to work in Uganda.

JOB SUMMARY
The Chief Financial Officer will assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company, primarily responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities. This includes, but is not limited to, direct responsibility for managing the internal finance function, including accounting, cash forecasting, strategic planning, and compliance. This senior position offers a broad spectrum of opportunities, scope, commercial activity, and authority and reports directly to the Group CEO.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide leadership in the development and implementation of short, medium, and long-term strategic financial objectives, as well as instilling regular continuous improvement reviews.
• Originate financing from local banks.
• Ensure the credibility and delivery of the finance function by providing timely and accurate analysis of forecasts, cash flows, budgets, and all other mandatory reporting requirements.
• Take a hands-on lead role in managing the finance team, including proactively building a solid finance talent pipeline and a high-performing, engaged team. Partner with the Group CEO, General Manager, and other functions to drive value creation (Return on Investment and Return on Capital Employed) and overall improvement in business performance (efficiency and effectiveness) through goals and objectives.

 

 

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify overall business needs and seek and implement a full range of business financial solutions.

 

 

• Provide management with advice on the financial implications of business activities and act as a bridge between the finance function and other business functions to drive efficiencies, robust controls, and monitoring processes.

 

 

• Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgeting, consolidation, and reporting to the company.
• Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.

 

 

• Lead all IT-related matters across the company, including system rollouts.
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and that there is compliance with all local regulatory laws for financial and tax reporting.

• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, the introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions.
• Undertake any additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution preferred.
• Professional accountancy qualification, such as ACA/FCA, ACCA/FCCA, CIMA, or CPA, is required.

 

 

• A master’s degree in Accounting and Finance is an added advantage.
• 8-10 years of experience is required, including at least 5 years in senior finance leadership roles, preferably within the manufacturing industry, or in commodities, manufacturing, FMCG environments, or a relevant sector.

 

 

• Essential experience in managing system rollouts from proposal/design through to implementation and setup phases.
• Demonstrated experience in securing financing.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and manage at all organizational levels, including with staff at remote locations.
• Strong problem-solving and creative skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently, meeting required standards and deadlines.
