Job Description/Requirements

Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer - Instrumentation.
 
Role Purpose: The Sales Engineer - Instrumentation will drive sales and business development for our client's instrumentation business in Kenya and Tanzania, focusing on maintaining key relationships and managing business activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strive to become the preferred supplier for our client's Measurement & Analytical products.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales to generate quotes and provide technical support.
• Provide insights on market trends, customer preferences, and competitive positioning.
• Manage and report the bookings quota monthly for sales forecasting.
• Work with principals to maximize sales potential.
• Prepare and submit monthly forecasts with the Country Director and General Manager of Sales.
• Develop and execute plans to grow the instrumentation business.
• Participate in industry events and trade shows.
Essential Functions:
• Develop and implement business plans for strategic accounts in coordination with the Country Director and Sales Management.
• Ensure alignment with SBU sales targets and initiatives.
• Adhere to company policies, including Safety, Quality, and Compliance.
• Participate in meetings to discuss sales performance, market dynamics, and customer feedback.
Job Scope:
• Customers: Internal and external
• Travel: Up to 50%
• Business Size: $55-$10M

Requirements

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree with at least 2-3 years of sales experience in Oil & Gas, Power, Water, Mining, F&B, and Renewables industries in East Africa (preferably Tanzania).
2. Familiarity with field/analytical instrumentation and flow meters, and understanding of local approval processes.
3. Proven experience in Measurement and Flow Technologies with a successful sales management track record.
Experience:
• 2-3 years of experience with strong industry credibility and success in selling measurement solutions and providing technical support.
