JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced retired military officer to oversee all aspects of security on our working farm located in Masindi, Uganda.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive security plans to safeguard personnel, property, livestock, crops, and equipment at our Masindi farm.

• Conduct regular patrols of the farm perimeter, buildings, and grounds in Masindi, identifying and mitigating potential security risks.
• Oversee a team of security guards (if applicable), providing training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Manage and maintain security equipment, including access control systems, cameras, and alarms, at our Masindi farm.
• Liaise with local law enforcement in Masindi to report incidents and develop collaborative security measures.
• Respond to security emergencies, taking appropriate action to ensure the safety of personnel and assets at our Masindi farm.
• Conduct investigations into security breaches, thefts, or vandalism at the Masindi farm.
• Maintain detailed security reports and logs specific to the Masindi farm.
• Enforce farm safety regulations and procedures specific to our Masindi farm.
• Manage access control to the Masindi farm, screening visitors and vendors.
• Serve as a fire warden, ensuring proper fire safety protocols are followed at the Masindi farm.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with staff, visitors, and law enforcement in Masindi.

Qualifications:
• Retired military officer with experience in security and patrol operations.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Working knowledge of security protocols and risk management techniques.
• Familiarity with farm operations and potential security threats in a rural setting (a plus).
• Experience using security equipment and technology (a plus).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent physical condition with the ability to perform physical tasks associated with patrolling and responding to emergencies.
