Description
Qualifications:
1. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in either Education, Information Technology or Journalism (at least second class upper) from Uganda Christian University.
2. Have experience with eLearning development platforms and tools such as Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard.
3. Should demonstrate an interest in instructional design principles and methodologies to create engaging and effective online learning experiences.
4. Should have an understanding of multimedia production, including video editing, graphics design, and audio recording.
5. Your knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and their functionality is essential for this role.
6. Must possess quality written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with faculty, staff, and students.
7. Should be detail-oriented and highly organized in order to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
8. Should be able to adapt quickly to new technologies demonstrate a curiosity for them and stay up-to-date with emerging trends in eLearning and educational technology.
9. Creativity and innovative thinking when designing interactive and immersive eLearning content is an added advantage.
10. Should be a committed Christian of high integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. To operate as a welcoming host to the eLearning Centre. You will check-in and organize visitors and users of the eLearning Centre.
2. To support eLearning technology through use of the equipment in the eLearning Centre and implement best practices in instructional design.
3. To provide support for the development and design of eLearning courses, ensuring they are engaging and interactive.
4. To create and edit multimedia elements such as videos, graphics, and animations for eLearning.
5. To perform quality assurance checks on eLearning materials to ensure accuracy and functionality.
6. To assist in the training and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) used for eLearning courses.
7. To provide technical support to faculty and students enrolled in eLearning courses, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems.
8. To stay up-to-date with advancements in eLearning tools and technologies, actively seeking opportunities for professional development.
