JOB DETAILS:
To lead the growth of the Informal Sector liability and asset growth portfolio within Consumer, Managing the Self-Employed portfolio delinquencies and ensuring that the flow rates are within the approved parameters to minimise provisions to the acceptable standard and increase profitability of the book.
• To drive the consistent implementation of the Ecosystems strategy and toolbox across country in order to aggressively grow the client base.
• To effectively engage and leverage all business units in order to unlock value chains and ensure delivery of the integrated financial services organisation.
• Develop a comprehensive customer offering, ensure that clients and different teams fully appreciate the offering and perform additional portfolio management activities to ensure agreed hurdle rates are maintained.
• Work with the Segment Heads, Sector Heads, credit, Regional Managers and Regional Sales & Service Managers to ensure that the Self-Employed and Informal sector portfolio is clean as well as grow the balance sheet.
• Pro-actively manage your portfolio to ensure timely collection of customer dues and mitigate any risks across all the offerings
• Support sales staff to acquire profitable and quality business from the key ecosystems in the portfolio.
• Develop existing and acquire new customers across the key Value chains and customer segments to identify their needs, receive feedback and provide appropriate solutions within our value proposition.
Qualifications
• First/Bachelors Degree in Business Commerce or related from a recognized Institute (e.g. B. Com majoring in marketing) would be an advantage
• 5-7 years business banking expertise; solid understanding of existing products and processes including pricing options, features and benefits etc.
• Experience in identifying key drivers of income and cost lines.
• Experience in using data to create insights that shape proposition design and client offering through multiple segments.
• Exposure to branch sales or credit functions in a Retail Banking environment.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the Personal Banking market to source the best possible sales leads
• Understanding of linkages between products and services and the different PM segments.
• Knowledge of the informal sector and the entire value chain in different sectors.
