JOB DETAILS:
Over all responsibility:
Candidate will be responsible for the implementation of HR functions and objectives, including but not limited to:
• Guide and lead the implementation of best personnel management and HR practices, on full spectrum of HR functions, aligned with company strategies, policy and legal requirements.
• Establish and maintain integrated HR management processes, tools and database for provision of on time reports, forecasts, and calculations.
• Establish and maintain an effective administration function and systems which will ensure compliance with company strategies and legal requirements.
• Maintain proper relationships with internal and external employee representative structures which are supportive of Company strategy. Obtain and achieve compliance within approved mandate.
• Oversee Recruitment and talent sourcing, develop and implement orientation programs, manage employee development and training programs aligned to the business needs of the company.
• Implement and monitor HR Planning, Talent Management and Organizational Development Models.
• Guide and monitor implementation of performance management and incentive schemes.
• Establish and maintain proper payroll management systems in line with available HR information systems such as Biometric systems, Leave management systems etc.
• Develop and monitor the HR Departmental budget which includes provision for training, recognition schemes, employee health and wellness, systems and other relevant HR services.
• Ensure the company is compliant with all legal requirements in terms of employment law in Uganda.
• Ensure the Company is compliant with voluntary standards such as FSC, ISO14001 and OSHAS18001.
• Management of performance for the HR department staff and General Office staff (reception, cleaners, etc.) and ensure training needs assessment to identify and bridge skills gaps.
• Administrative management of the employee housing Camps ensuring housing is properly assigned with proper documentation, records of housed employees.
• Ensure proper office management, monitor inventory of office supplies and timely requisition of key office items.
• Undertake any other tasks as may be reasonably assigned by line managers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competences;
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Psychology or Business Administration (Management).
• Post Graduate qualification in Human Resource Management/ Management is an added advantage.
• A minimum of Eight (8) years of relevant experience, with at least three years in a senior role.
• Demonstrate positive career development.
• Demonstrated proficiency in leadership & team building.
• High degree of integrity and professionalism Solid Knowledge of all Local and International labour laws.
• Strong interpersonal and communication and conflict resolution skills.
